> French President Emmanuel Macron said the government recommends against demonstrations nationwide in the coming days, particularly Saturday. Lyon, Toulon and Nice have imposed restrictions on some protests, while Paris authorities will allow a march backed by the CGT and others. Soldiers from Operation Sentinelle are to help prevent violence during the announced demonstrations.
