> US President Donald Trump urged Republican Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to keep running an advertisement featuring Democratic rival Amy Acton’s estranged mother. The ad disputes Acton’s account of childhood homelessness and sexual abuse by her stepfather. Acton says she has not seen her mother since 1978. Trump also attacked Republican Governor Mike DeWine for urging Ramaswamy to pull the ad.
