# National-currency payments top 90% in EAEU, Russian Foreign Ministry says

> Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said at the Nizhny Novgorod Economic Forum that more than 90% of payments among Eurasian Economic Union members are now made in national currencies. He said work is underway with partners on payment infrastructure and links between financial messaging systems. The EAEU has free trade agreements with Vietnam, Serbia, Iran, Mongolia and the United Arab Emirates.
