> EU officials are looking for someone to represent Europe in negotiations with Vladimir Putin, Politico reports. Discussion of candidates intensified after U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff met Putin in St. Petersburg on October 21. Finnish President Alexander Stubb, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President António Costa are among those considered. Czech President Petr Pavel says the EU should authorize a leader or group to speak for Europe.
