> US President Donald Trump called those pressing for more US sanctions on Russia “stupid people.” Referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to release US national Stephen Hubbard, convicted of fighting alongside Ukrainian forces, Trump said Hubbard would not be out now if he had followed their advice. Trump’s political opponents have criticized his decision not to implement new legislation providing for sanctions on Russia and its trading partners.
