> The Gambia’s Reparations Commission says it received $2,573,414.10 from the US sale of former leader Yahya Jammeh’s Maryland mansion and will use the money to compensate victims of his rule. The US secured the right to sell the property in 2022, saying it had been acquired with criminal proceeds and misappropriated Gambian public funds.
