Temperatures could rise 2.8 degrees this century under current policies, or 2.6 degrees even if countries meet their pledges. The report says the outlook has worsened after the US withdrew from climate action, but rapid fossil-fuel cuts could still limit the overshoot and bring warming back below 1.5 degrees by 2100.
