> Politico reports that Germany's far-right AfD will present a policy paper on Wednesday proposing a smaller EU role and budget, without initially calling for Germany to leave the bloc or eurozone. The plan would replace direct European Parliament elections with national-parliament appointments, restrict the European Commission to administrative work and replace the European Court of Justice with an arbitration tribunal. If its reform demands are rejected, the party would seek a referendum on EU membership.
