> Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi sent a monetary offering to Yasukuni Shrine through senior Liberal Democratic Party officials on Monday, the final day of its three-day autumn festival, Kyodo News reported. She had also sent a potted plant offering on Saturday. China’s embassy in Japan condemned the politicians’ actions, while a Chinese researcher said the offerings were eroding Japan’s postwar anti-war consensus and paving the way for remilitarization.
