> France’s interior minister said more than 2,000 people were arrested and over 600 police officers, gendarmes and firefighters injured during Saturday’s protests, which drew about 550,000 people. Demonstrators cited fuel prices, living costs, education and public services. A fire deliberately set during unrest devastated Limoges’ town hall, while Paris metro services were disrupted.
