> Fast-spreading wildfires on California’s southern coast have engulfed at least six expensive properties, prompting thousands to evacuate. The Orange County Fire Authority said the Norte fire had burned about 465 acres and affected at least four homes in San Juan Capistrano. Strong winds, low humidity and unusually high temperatures have worsened the fires, while authorities cut power to reduce the risk of sparks.
