# New Russian jet drones catch Ukraine off guard, WSJ reports

> Ukraine lacks defenses against Russia’s new jet-powered drones, which can fly faster and higher than earlier models, the Wall Street Journal reported. It said Ukraine is rushing to build defenses. Geran-5 can carry a warhead of up to 90 kg and travel 900 km at 450 km/h; Geran-4 can reach 350 km/h, carry up to 50 kg and cover 750–800 km.
