# Kremlin: External management targets firms from countries holding Russian assets

> Dmitry Peskov said external management is being applied mainly to companies from countries Russia considers unfriendly that unlawfully hold Russian assets and expropriate property belonging to Russian firms. He stressed the measure is not intended to change ownership. Earlier, Vladimir Putin signed a decree placing the Russian assets of Tarkett, Ontex and three foreign packaging companies under external management.
