> Brush fires burned across Southern California, with evacuations ordered near Malibu as hot, dry winds drove the flames. The fast-moving Bryson Fire grew to about 81 hectares and threatened a Los Angeles County juvenile facility; forecasters expected stronger overnight gusts. Fires also burned near Azusa and San Diego, while utilities cut power to about 127,000 California customers to reduce the risk of electrical equipment sparking more fires.
