> Prime Minister Edi Rama rejected calls to resign on Thursday as thousands of student-led protesters smashed windows and clashed with riot police using water cannon and tear gas in the capital. Demonstrators accused officials of corruption and neglecting education, and said they were angered by the sale of part of Albania’s southern coastline for a luxury resort backed by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump.
