> The U.S. is sending several hundred Army soldiers to Latin America for training and joint exercises as the Trump administration widens its campaign against drug-trafficking networks. The first troops from a roughly 600-soldier battalion are expected in Panama, followed by training with local forces in Colombia and Honduras. They could also support U.S. special operations personnel advising local forces on raids against suspected traffickers.
