> Wildfires in Indonesia’s Kalimantan and Sumatra have produced toxic haze that has crossed borders, obscuring Singapore’s skyline and forcing some Malaysian schools to close. Anger is mounting at companies accused of burning land and authorities seen as failing to stop it. Indonesia has suspended the operating permits of 26 companies linked to fires and is investigating others.
